Natural & Holistic Anxiety Treatment In Vermont
For OCD, Insomnia, General Anxiety, And More.
Anxiety can make you feel out of control. Many people “know” that their anxiety isn’t real, but it feels so disturbing that you can’t ignore it. Or perhaps you try to, but it keeps building. We can offer relief through natural anxiety treatments such as psychotherapy, brain mapping, and neurofeedback.
Therapy That Works
Some therapies offer temporary relief from anxiety because they didn’t address the root of the issue. Our job is understand why you feel anxious so we provide treatment that is effective and lasts.
We always start with an intake process, and many clients include a brain map (qEEG) to better understand why they feel anxious, and what can be done to fix it.

Anxiety Has Many Forms
Some research has defined anxiety as a future-oriented fear. While that may be an oversimplification, it does define many people’s experience. Even so, anxiety has many subtypes, and each one has some unique considerations.
General Anxiety
While some anxiety is specific to one situation or experience, other forms of anxiety feel like a dark cloud that is always hovering.
Sleep & Insomnia
Good sleep is important for almost every function in our lives. The standard of care for insomnia treatment is CBT-I, although some people find this skill based approach doesn’t always fix the issue. Fortunately, There are other natural options.
Panic
Having a panic attack is scary, and it can happen without warning for many people. The science behind panic disorder helps us understand how to manage the triggers as well as increase resiliency so people can return to peaceful baseline as quickly as possible.
OCD
Many people feel controlled by their obsessive compulsive disorder, and research generally shows CBT to be an excellent treatment option. Some clients prefer a less talk-therapy focused approach, and we can help with that.
Performance Anxiety
Performance anxiety can impact people at any age. Whether it’s at work, school, or in your own home, it doesn’t have to cripple you. Part of treating performance anxiety is understanding that some anxiety is actually useful… to a point.
Social Anxiety
Our society is struggling more and more with social interactions. Whether it’s related to self image, perceived judgement, or avoidance, feeling socially anxious can lead to a flood of negative thoughts and isolation.

Lasting Anxiety Treatment
Our office incorporates traditional evidence-based anxiety treatments along with cutting edge advances in neuroscience. Unfortunately, government regulations have not kept up with what is possible in the field of anxiety treatment. This means that even though clients experience significant benefits from certain interventions, they are not yet considered mainstream in the medical community. We’re happy to discuss all of the options with you during your care.
Brain Mapping
A brain map acts like a musical tuner. It can tell you which areas of your brain are too fast, too slow, out of sync, or otherwise struggling to perform. Traditional diagnosis uses a symptom checklist, and while this is the standard of care in psychology, there is more and more emerging research to show how understanding brain function can inform and even speed up treatment.
Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback is a non-invasive training process. Think of it like physical therapy for your brain. While the medical community consider it experimental, there is a wealth of research to support the use of brain training interventions for a wide variety of conditions including anxiety.
Individual Therapy
Sometimes it helps to process life. While our office provides scientific techniques for decreasing anxiety, some people just need to talk, cry, or otherwise express themselves. We're here to listen and support.
Play Therapy
Kids often can't just tell you how they feel. Luckily, they can show you. That is the power of play therapy, and research has consistently supported the use of this process with kids where talk therapy isn't an appropriate fit.
